Testimony of a Woman Seeking the Recovery of Her Child
My name is Nazia. I have come here from Karachi to Sargodha to recover my four- to five-year-old son from my husband. An inspector accompanied me from Karachi. He conducted a raid at a house, but my husband managed to escape. He has been hiding my son from me.I also visited Urban Area Police Station in Sargodha. The police there cooperated with me and conducted raids at one or two more houses, but my child has still not been recovered. I have come all the way from Karachi to get my child back.I requested accommodation at Hawa Shelter Home for one night. I want my son to be recovered from my husband. Khidmatgar Baba Muhammad Shafiq Doger stated that he had received a telephone call from Munshi Shehzad of Urban Area Police Station. He informed him about Nazia, who had travelled from Karachi with police officers. They had conducted a raid, but her child had not yet been recovered. Since she had no place to stay, he requested that the organization provide her with accommodation.
Baba Muhammad Shafiq Doger agreed and asked him to bring the woman to the organization. Nazia subsequently arrived at Hawa Shelter Home. We planned to make further efforts to help recover her child the following morning.
The woman had also called the emergency helpline 15 to report that she had come to Sargodha. The emergency police contacted her and informed her that she was required to appear before the ASP City the following morning.
As soon as morning arrived, after having breakfast, the woman left Star Welfare Organization to appear before the ASP.We assured her that if she needed legal assistance or accommodation again, our organization would be available to help her. We also told her that we would make every possible effort, alongside the police, to help recover her child and advised her not to lose hope.In response, she expressed her gratitude and confidence in our organization. She said:“Organizations like yours should exist in society. I am grateful for your kindness, for speaking with me compassionately, and for providing me with shelter. Seeing organizations that support women makes me happy. I am also thankful to the Urban Area Police Station, whose officers encouraged me and helped arrange my accommodation at your shelter home.I hope the police will recover my child and return him to me. I must leave now because I have to appear before the ASP. If I need your assistance, I will return to your organization.”

میرا نام نازیہ ہے، میں کراچی سے یہاں آئی ہوں، میں سرگودہا میں اپنے بیٹے جس کی عمر 4 سے 5 سال ہے اپنے خاوند سے اس کی بازیابی کیلئے آئی ہوں۔ میرے ساتھ کراچی سے انسپکٹر بھی آیا تھا۔ اس نے ایک گھر میں ریڈ کیا مگر میرا شوہر وہاں سے بھاگ جانے میں کامیاب ہو گیا۔ میرے بیٹے کو اس نے مجھ سے چھپایا ہوا ہے، میں پھر تھا نہ اربن ایریا میں بھی گئی، میرے ساتھ تھا نہ اربن ابر یا پولیس نے بھی تعاون کیا انہوں نے ایک دو گھروں میں مزید ریڈ کیے مگر ابھی تک میرا بچہ نہیں ملا میں کراچی سے اپنے بچوں کو لینے آئی ہوں۔ مجھے ایک رات کیلئے حواء شیلٹر ہوم (پناہ گاہ) میں رکھا جائے مجھے اپنا بچہ اپنے شوہر سے برآمد کروانا ہے۔ یہ میرے ساتھ پولیس والے آئے ہیں۔ خدمت گار با با محمد شفیق ڈوگر نے کہا کہ میرے پاس منشی شہز ادار بن امیریا پولیس کا ٹیلی فون آیا؟ آیا جنہوں نے مجھے نازیہ کے بارے میں بتایا کہ یہ خاتون کراچی سے آئی ہوئی ہیں اور ان کے ساتھ پولیس بھی آئی تھی انہوں نے ریڈ کیا مگر اس کا بچہ ابھی تک برآمد نہ ہوا ہے۔ اس کے پاس رہائش کیلئے کوئی جگہ نہیں، اس کو آپ ادارہ میں رہائش دیں، میں نے کہا کہ آپ اس کو لیکر آجائیں پھر نازیہ حواء شیلٹر ہوم میں آگئی۔ کل صبح ہم اس کے بچے کو برآمدکرنے کی کوشش کرینگے۔ خاتون نے 15 پر بھی کال کی تھی کہ میں یہاں آئی ہوئی ہوں تو ایمر جنسی پولیس نے بھی ان کے ساتھ رابطہ کیا اور کہا کہ کہ اے ایس پی سٹی کے پاس صبح پیش ہونا ہے صبح ہوتے ہی یہ خاتون ناشتہ کرنے کے بعدسٹار ویلفیئر آرگنائزیشن سے چلی گئی۔ ہم نے اس کو کہاکہ آپ کو کوئی لیگل ایڈ چاہئے یا دوبارہ بھی آپ کو رہائش چاہئے تو ہمارا ادارہ حاضر ہے ہم بھی کوشش کریں گے اور پولیس بھی کوشش کریگی کہ آپ کا بچہ برآمد ہو جائے آپ پریشان نہ ہوں جس پر اس نے یہ اعتماد کیاکہ ایسے ادارے ہونے چاہئے آپ کی مہربانی ہے آپ بات کر رہے ہیں اور میں نے یہاں شیلٹر لیا ہے۔ ایسے خواتین کے ادارے دیکھ میں خوش ہوتی ہوں، میں تھا نہ اربن ایریا پولیس کی بھی مشکور ہوں جنہوں نے مجھے حوصلہ دیا اور آپ کے پاس رہائش دلوائی، مجھے امید ہے کہ پولیس میرا بچہ برآمد کروا کے دے گی۔ میں نے اب یہاں سے جانا ہے کیونکہ میں نے اے ایس پی کے پاس پیش ہونا اگر مجھے آپ کی مدد کی ضرورت پڑی تو میں دوبارہ آپ کے ادارہ میں آؤں گی۔ادارہ سٹار ویلفیئر آرگنائزیشن معاشرے میں موجود بے سہارا‘ لا وارث‘ مشکلات میں گھری خواتین کی مدد کیلئے 24 گھنٹے کام کر رہا ہے جس کیلئے آپ کی امداد کی ضرورت ہے۔
